The "old-school way" is time consuming and costly.
Does cleaning your blinds by hand sound like a lot of work? That's because it is (and many people do it)! They’ll take them outside and hose them down or scrub them in the bathtub. Maybe even use some gizmo or chemical advertised on TV. Unfortunately, the outcome usually the same as follows:
- It’s very difficult, if not impossible, to get blinds as clean as desired.
- Blinds quickly become dirty again as static-electricity from cleaning actually attracts dust and dirt.
- Cleaning blinds by hand is back-breaking, labor-intensive and time consuming work.
- Blinds are very easy to break during cleaning.
How Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning Works:
There are a couple factors that go into ultrasonic cleaning, including the use of sound waves. Dirty blinds and shades are put into a tank filled with hot water and a mild cleaning solution. There are transducers that create sound waves which in turn generate millions of microscopic bubbles. The bubbles travel through the water until they collide into something, causing a "mini" implosion that will remove whatever dirt or contaminant it comes in contact with. Essentially, the dirt is vibrated off of the fabric/surface of the blind, head rail, cords, ladders, basically every square inch of the blind or shade! All areas are cleaned and sanitized resulting in a superior fresh clean look for your blind or shade.
